A fully-funded, 4-year PhD studentship is available to start in the Ball group in October 2020. Applicants must hold (or be on track for) a 1st class or 2:1 masters degree in chemistry; due to funding restrictions, this position is open to UK and EU applicants only. Postdoctoral applicants

Funded positions will be advertised when available. Researchers who wish to apply for independent funding should approach Liam well in advance of their anticipated start-date with a list of the fellowships for which they are eligible. Outstanding candidates will receive assistance with fellowship applications.

PhD applicants

Final Year and Summer Placement Projects

Projects for final-year and summer research are available in the broad areas of organic / organometallic synthesis, catalysis and physical organic chemistry. Please contact Liam early to discuss project details and, for summer placements, to secure funding.
